Obituary

David E. Hilyard, 58, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center on Monday, July 25, 2022.  He was born in Decatur, IN on March 9, 1964, the son of Max E. and Betty A. (Haugk) Hilyard.

David worked as a News Director for WANE 15.

David is survived by his mother, Betty Hilyard of Angola, 2 daughters; Bailey E. Hilyard of Shelton, WA and Grace M. Hilyard of Fort Wayne, IN; 2 brothers Jack (Cindy) Hilyard of Angola, IN and Tony (Nancy) Hilyard of Decatur, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Max E. Hilyard and his brother, Bradley J. Hilyard.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur, IN.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 also at the funeral home.

In leu of flowers, memorials may be made to his daughters.
