Cloe M. Parrish Frey, 93, of Perrysburg, OH, former lifelong resident of Decatur, IN, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Kingston Residence of Perrysburg. She was born on August 29, 1924, in Adams County, IN, the daughter of the late Frank and Mable (Shoaf) Liniger. On June 30, 1949, she married Dr. Richard K. Parrish and he preceded her in death January 4, 1988. She then married Charles W. Frey on June 8, 1996; he survives in Perrysburg, OH.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Decatur, where she served in the Faith Circle. She was also a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, the Eastern Star, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Cloe was a 1945 Graduate of Ball Memorial School of Nursing and was a licensed as a Registered Nurse. She also worked as homemaker, raising her 2 sons and also assisted her husband, the late Dr. Parrish in running his ophthalmology practice in Decatur for many years.
She is survived by 2 sons, Dr. Richard K. (Marianne) Parrish II of Miami, FL and Dr. Terry M. (Gretchen) Parrish of Indianapolis; a step son, Dr. William J. (Dorothy) Frey of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico; a step daughter, Lou Ann (David) Frey of Perrysburg, OH; a sister, Max Ellen Kenyon of Pensacola, FL. She also loved all of the members of her blended family including the 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Cloe was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Vaun and Wallace Liniger.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with calling 2 hours prior to service from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Amy Covington of First United Methodist Church.
