Carolyn A. Wemhoff, 86, of Decatur, IN, passed away at her residence on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Carolyn was born in Wells County on May 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Gerald and Mary (Bowan) Harris. On December 10, 1955, she married Theodore F. Wemhoff.
Carolyn was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. She was an Auxiliary member of the Eagles 248 in Ft. Wayne, American Legion Post 43, Moose Lodge 1311, Fleet Reserve Association, and the Retired Enlisted Association
She was primarily a homemaker, but also was a secretary at Caylor Nickel for several years and tended bar at the Moose Lodge 1311 for 16 years. Carolyn was an avid Euchre player and enjoyed bingo.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Theodore F. Wemhoff of Decatur; 3 sons, William (Teri) Wemhoff, Gregory (Pam) Wemhoff both of Decatur and Michael (Rachel) Wemhoff of Ft. Wayne; 1 brother, Ron (Carol) Harris of Thousand Oaks, CA; 1 sister, Sharon (Bob) Mayer of Bluffton; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with calling prior from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. Father David Ruppert will be officiating and burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
