Shirley J. Wolfe, 84, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Monday morning, July 5, 2021, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur.
She was born on August 7, 1936, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Lewis M. Williamson and the late Marcile (Myers) Williamson. Shirley was united in marriage to Clyde “Dee” Wolfe on May 6, 1956, and he survives.
Shirley was a member of Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church. She was a longtime Sunday School Teacher and Vacation Bible School Assistant. In addition, Shirley also served as the President of the United Methodist Women for many years.
She was employed at Central Soya in Decatur as a Grain Accountant and also at Duffy’s Office Supply in Decatur.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clyde “Dee” Wolfe of Decatur, Indiana; son, Denny D. (Cheryl) Wolfe of Monroe, Indiana; daughter, Nancy J. (Randy) Hirschy of Monroe, Indiana; son-in-law, Rick Waggoner of Bluffton, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy J. Waggoner; grandson, Michael Dee Hirschy; and a sister, Judy K. Brunner.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Steve Bard officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton, Indiana.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Preferred memorials can be given to A.C.C.F. Angel Cancer Fund.
