Obituary

Sharon K. (Workinger) Fisher, 67, of Monroe, IN, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital. She was born in Adams County, IN, on October 1, 1953, the daughter of the late, Bill and Joan (Riley) Workinger. On July 1, 1972, she married Brice David Fisher and after 31 years together he preceded her in death on November 23, 2003.

She was a member of St. Luke Church. She retired from Hoosier Blue Flame as the customer sales representative. She was very active in the family farming business.  

Sharon is survived by her son, Scott (Liz) Fisher of Decatur; 3 daughters, Stacey (Eric) Smith, Stephanie (Nate) Kuck both of Monroe, Sandy (Doug) Beckner of Decatur;a brother, Dan (Lori) Workinger of Decatur; 3 sisters, Janet (Mark) Andrews, Lori (Ked) Snyder, and Micki (John) Schultz all of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, RJ & Ian Smith, Livvy, Grace, Kate, & David Fisher, Jonny Kuck, Nick, Ben, & Johnny Beckner.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held privately for her immediate family at St. Luke Church. Pastor Mike Wertenberger will be officiating and burial will immediately follow in the Decatur Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke Church or her Grandchildren’s Education Fund with checks made payable to Stacey Smith.
