Rozann M. Kwasneski, 86, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Adams Woodcrest. She was born on May 20, 1933 in South Bend, IN, to the late Homer C. and Mildred A. (DuMont) Kelver. She married Daniel A. Kwasneski on April 30, 1955 and after 42 years, he preceded her in death on May 19, 1997.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and was a member of the Women of St. Mary’s. She worked for 30 years as a registered nurse first at Adams County Memorial Hospital in Decatur and then for St. Joseph Hospital in Flint, MI. She was also a member of the Adams County Nurses Association and later volunteered at Adams Memorial Hospital.

Rozann is survived by her 7 children: Mary (Jon) Vasas of Birch Run, MI; Susan Kwasneski of Ludlow, VT; Jane Kwasneski of Clarkston, MI; Daniel G. Kwasneski of Menominee, MI; Christopher (Maribeth) Kwasneski of Caro, MI; Joseph (Leslie) Kwasneski of Oxford, MI; and Jill (John) Rado of Arnold, MO.

She is also survived by her brother, Delbert Kelver of South Bend, IN; her 2 sisters, Carolyn McLean of Pittsburgh, PA and Maribel (George) Early of South Bend, IN; 5 grandsons, Jason (Alicia) Kwasneski, Jacob (Marissa) Kwasneski, Shane Kwasneski, Benjamin Rado and Nathan Rado.

Rozann was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne J. Kwasneski and her brother, Daniel Kelver.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Kenneth Mazur, P.I.M.E., officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Burial will immediately follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (P.I.M.E.), 17330 Quincy St., Detroit, MI 48221.
