Pauline M. Siefring, 89, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital. Pauline was born in Versailles, Ohio on June 11, 1932, to the late Henry and Lena (Frances) Phlipot. On August 23, 1950, Pauline married Harold J. “Lucky” Siefring. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2010.
Pauline was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. She was member of the Women of St. Mary’s, Rosary Society and the Altar Guild. She retired at the young age of 86 from the Starlite Country Club where she and her husband were owner/operators for 45 years. In her earlier days, Pauline was a part of the Women of the Moose. She loved her family and her dog Gizzy.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry Siefring of Preble, Lloyd (Joan) Siefring and Richard Siefring both of Decatur; four daughters, Theresa Wolfe of Orlando, FL, Sandra (Jerry) Fuelling of Decatur, Diane (Randy) Winteregg of Berne, Dorothy (Ron) Bransteter of Monroe; two brothers, Frances (Janice) Phlipot of North Star, OH and Eugene (Mary Lou) Phlipot of Minster, OH; five sister-in-laws, Mary Phlipot of New Breman, OH, Monica Siefring of Louisville, KY, Ruth Siefring of St. Mary’s, OH, Barb Winner of Osgood, OH and Marge Siefring of OH; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa “Boog” Orchard; siblings, Joe Phlipot, Charles Phlipot, Ed Phlipot, Lee Phlipot, Ernie Phlipot, Lorretta Edwards, Mildred Gaier, Elenore Schlater, Eileen Overman, Rita Phlipot, Bernard Phlipot, Rita Phlipot and two siblings in infancy.
Family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, with the reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur.
A 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Pauline on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with calling 1 hour prior to Mass from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Father Dave Ruppert will be officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Special Olympics or Masses.
