Mary L. Call, 94, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Adams Woodcrest. Mary was born in Decatur on July 16, 1927, to the late Hazen C. and Frieda Marie (Sprague) Moore. She married Joseph H. Call and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1998.
Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She worked for Schaefer Wholesale for 24 years retiring in 1990, she later worked for Wal-Mart for 17 years and retired at the young age of 89. Mary was a member of the Women of the Moose, VFW, American Legion, Historical Society, volunteered on the Election Board for many years, and volunteered at the library.
She loved crafts, gardening, canning, genealogy, flowers, and especially roses.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Connie Noe of New Haven, Indiana; son, Charles “Chuck” Call of Greeley, Colorado; daughter, Janice Jones of Decatur, Indiana; five grandchildren, Amy Witte, Jeremy (Jessica) Jones, Jessica (James) Wynne, Joe (Kremi) Call and David (Daniela) Call; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Madison Jones, Bryce Witte, and Elliana Call.
Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Call, brother, Paul Moore, and sister, Verena “Squeakie” Walters.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Klinker officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to the Donor’s Choice.
