Mary M. (Coyne) Brickley

February 20, 1938 ~ December 30, 2021 (age 83)


Mary M. Brickley, 83, of Willshire, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Adams Memorial Hospital. Mary was born on February 20, 1938 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Paul A. and Margaret A. (Tempel) Coyne.

Mary was a parishioner at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and was a member of the Rosary Society. She retired after 50 years of being a meat wrapper in the grocery industry. She was also a homemaker and loved her grandchildren very much. She was an avid Notre Dame fan.

Mary is survived by a son, Dennis (Ellen) Brickley; a daughter, Brenda Ellard both of Willshire, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Leanette Coyne of Knoxville, TN and Mary Ellen Coyne of Monroeville; three grandchildren, Ryan (Kate) Brickley, Derek (Nikki) Brickley and Tyler (Chelsea Burden) Brickley; six great grandchildren, Jayci, Jaron, Jevan, Benson, Bexley Brickley and Layna Dunning.

Mary was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ray Ellard; four brothers, Bob, Eugene, Paul and Ken Coyne; a sister, Geraldine Ehrsam.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father David Ruppert officiating.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to Mass from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall.

Burial will take place in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville at a later date.

Preferred memorials are to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Masses.
