Grace W. Nussbaum, 90, of Monroe, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Adams Woodcrest. Grace was born on March 23, 1932, in Adams County, IN, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hoffman) Fisher. She was united in marriage to Curtis D. Nussbaum on October 20, 1951, and after 67 years he preceded in death on May 16, 2019.
She worked the majority of her life taking care of her family as a homemaker and also worked for G.E. and CTS in Berne. She was a lifelong member of St. Luke Church.
Grace above all loved and enjoyed supporting her grandchildren. She was known for her hospitality, sending greeting cards, cooking meals, and baking cookies and pies for others. She and her late husband, Curtis were diehard Chicago Cubs fans.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Debra (Gary) Giessler and Diann “Toby” (Ken) Neadstine both of Monroe; 3 grandchildren, Kristopher (Rachel) Burkhart, Ashley (Eric Klarer) Gaskill, and Austin (Caitlin) Neadstine; 1 step grandson, Tod Giessler; 6 great grandchildren, Alex (Kate) Burkhart, Jordan Burkhart, Gaven Gaskill, Presley Gaskill, Greyson Gaskill, and Taitumm Neadstine; 2 step great grandchildren, Justin Giessler and Zach Giessler
She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Brice and Jim Fisher and a sister, Ellen Lehman.
A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy and Zelt Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022, also at the funeral home with visitation 1 hour prior from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Pastor Tom Brunstrup will be officiating and burial will take place immediately following in the Decatur Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Monroe Fire Department or P.A.W.S. of Adams County.
