G. Roger Foor, 83, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on November 11, 1937, in Bluecreek Township to the late Glen W. and Wanda B. (Meyers) Foor. He was united in marriage to Twannette “Toni” Magley in 1960.
He was a former member of Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church. Roger was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Decatur, former member of the Pleasant Mills Lions Club, and former member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He retired in 1999 after 37 years with Navistar as a Plant Manager. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
Roger graduated from Pleasant Mills High School and from Purdue University. He was an avid sports fan especially IU fan. He was City Golf Champion in 1967 and Adams County Champion in 1984. In 1999, he was Adams County Cup Champion, Cross Creek Club Champion in 2001, and inducted into the Decatur Golf Association Hall of Fame in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Twannette “Toni” Foor of Decatur, Indiana; son, Craig (Debbi) Foor of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Trina (Larry) Wilson of Decatur, Indiana; four grandchildren, Josh (Chrissy) Arnold, Seth Arnold, Brent (Naomi) Foor, and Kylie Sauer (Tyler Cress); and nine great-grandchildren.
Per Roger’s wishes, private family services were held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
