Ena I. Khan, 87, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born in the city of Lancaster in British Guiana on January 23, 1934, the daughter of the late Harilall and Mary (Brinnel) Bissember.
She had lived in Guyana and Wimbledon, England, before she moved to Northern California in 1991 to be with her daughter. In 1996 the family relocated to Decatur, where she helped raise her grandchildren and lived the remainder of her life.
Ena was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, where she was involved in many aspects for years. She also spent fourteen years volunteering at Woodcrest.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret V. (Dr. Richard D.) Spady of Decatur; 3 grandchildren, Pastor Justin D. (Jennifer) Spady of Wausau, WI, Dr. Conor D. Spady and Dr. Nicole Spady (Pastor Austin) Roberts both of Loma Linda, CA; 2 great grandchildren, Katelyn R. Spady and David R. Spady.
Ena was the last of her 9 siblings, being preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father David Ruppert presiding. Burial will immediately follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
