Obituary

Arthur Mendez Sr., 58 of Decatur, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his residence. He was born in San Antonio, TX, on March 3, 1962, to Rojelo Alvarado and Josefa (Morales) Alvarado.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He worked for Circle J. Painting and also worked construction and landscaping.

He is survived by 3 sons, Arturo (Tish) Mendez, Anthony (Cynthia) Mendez, and Adam M. (Samantha) Mendez; a daughter, Dora Mendez; 2 brothers, Jesse Mendez of Orlando, FL and Juan Mendez of Decatur; a sister, Dora (Arthur) Zambada of Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Freddie Mendez, Jose Ramirez, and Victor Ramirez

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Haggard Sefton Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
