Marilyn C. Fullenkamp, 85, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on November 11, 2018 at Adams Woodcrest. She was born in Mercer County Ohio on September 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Charles Link and Anna (Wuebker) Link. On June 28, 1958, she married Eugene F. Fullenkamp and after 56 years he preceded her in death on April 5, 2015.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, where she was a member of Women of St. Mary’s and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Marilyn worked most of her life raising her large family as a homemaker and also worked in the cafeteria at North Adams Community Schools. She volunteered countless hours cooking in the kitchen for the events of Knights of Columbus Council 864.
Marilyn is survived by 4 sons, Pat (Diane) Fullenkamp of Decatur, IN; Larry (Connie) Fullenkamp of Decatur, IN; Tom (Angie) Fullenkamp of Indianapolis, IN and Tony (Cheryl) Fullenkamp of Decatur, IN; 5 daughters, Karen Fullenkamp of Decatur, IN; Mary (Randy) Clifton of Decatur, IN; Nancy (Greg) Saunders of Ft. Wayne, IN; Susie (Clarence) Boyd of Ft. Wayne, IN and Amy (Alan) Valade of Ft. Wayne, IN. 17 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren with one on the way; 1 brother, Aloys Link of Ft. Recovery, OH; 2 sisters, Sr. Adelaide Link of Cincinnati, OH and Edna Reinhard of Plainfield, IN.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Marie, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
On Thursday, November 15, 2018, visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Woodcrest Porter Auditorium. Then the Holy Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, followed by visitation from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
A 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with 1 hour visitation from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Father Dave Ruppert will be officiating and burial will take place at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church or Woodcrest of Adams County.
