Elizabeth “Liz” Colter, 82, of Berne, Indiana, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 22, 1935 in Houston, Texas to the late Benito and Consuelo (Uries) Olalde.
She was a member of the Bridge Community Church. Liz worked at Decatur City Hall for 33 years and volunteered at the Adams Memorial Hospital Gift Shop and Swiss Village Gift Shop.
She was famous to her family and friends for her Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Liz is survived by 1 son, Bradley “Brad” (Diane) Schrock of Berne, IN; 3 brothers, Eddie, Danny and Davie; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Schrock and her second husband, James “Jim” Colter; 2 sons, Korben and Steve; 1 brother, Benny and 1 sister, Dina.
A Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Bridge Community Church.
The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m., also at the Bridge Community Church with Pastor Mo Hodge officiating. Burial will take place at the Decatur Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in care of Swiss Village.
